Low-emission and zero-emission zone for the van
The van too falls under the Dutch zero-emission zones starting between 2025 and 2030 in almost thirty municipalities, with a transition rule for Euro 5 and Euro 6. Zonetoegang tells you per number plate where your van may still enter and until when, in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe.
Van, delivery van or panel van: the same rule
Whatever you call it, the RDW registers it as a light commercial vehicle, and the zero-emission zones treat them the same. For Euro 5 and Euro 6 a transition rule applies that differs per municipality. Zonetoegang fetches your vehicle from the RDW and shows per zone the verdict and the date until when you may still enter.
Per number plate, not per vehicle category
Enter the number plate and Zonetoegang fetches the vehicle from the RDW: Euro class, CO2 class, fuel, weight, vehicle type and date of first admission. Every zone then gets a verdict for exactly that vehicle: may enter, may enter until a date, or no access. You see it straight away on the map.
Abroad too: Crit'Air, Umweltzone, LEZ and ZTL
Low-emission zones exist across Europe: Crit'Air zones in France, Umweltzonen in Germany, LEZs in Belgium and the United Kingdom, ZTLs in Italy. Zonetoegang covers 28 countries and more than 1,100 zones from official sources, with the official place to order a vignette or register the vehicle.
Only official sources, updated daily
Zonetoegang uses only government sources: NDW, RDW, Rijkswaterstaat, the Dutch government (milieuzones.nl and opwegnaarzes.nl), officielebekendmakingen.nl and the authorities of other countries. A new traffic decision about a zone is included the next morning.

Is a panel van the same as a delivery van?
Yes, they are the same vehicle. The RDW registers it as a light commercial vehicle; the low-emission and zero-emission zone rules are the same.
May my Euro 6 van still enter the zero-emission zone?
Usually for a number of years, thanks to the transition rule. It differs per municipality; Zonetoegang shows per number plate until when.
